Matthew has specialist experience in a variety of commercial, company and trust transactions.  Matthew acts for a wide range of businesses, including significant corporate clients, providing advice about corporate structuring and governance, financing, contract negotiation, and merger and acquisition transactions.  

Matthew has particular expertise in the areas of trusts, estate planning and relationship property.  He has written a guide to family trusts used by Lawlink Group firms through New Zealand.  Matthew’s general experience in commercial and property law enables Matthew to provide high quality estate planning and relationship property advice that focuses on practical solutions for his clients.

In 2009, Matthew graduated from Waikato University with a first class honours masters degree in law.  The analytical, communication and research skills he developed while completing this graduate degree have significantly enhanced the legal services he can provide to clients.
